General Rules
- We are now allowing LiPo cells. Please use a proper LiPo charger and charge the cells in a LiPo sack at no more than 1C.
- Cars must be complete (for example wheels missing, damaged body or shells) this is to stop people and the clubs kit from being damaged.
- Cars which are are dragging on the carpet must be pulled off the track as soon as possible
- Drivers must go straight out to marshal after they have finished their race.
- Anyone not using a 2.4GHz radio system must have three different crystal sets.
- Any children (under 16s) must be supervised by a parent or gaurdian AT ALL TIMES
- Rules are based on the BRCA rules, except where the following club rules apply.
- Races will be of 5 minute duration.
Touring Cars
- Any slick rubber tyre or Carpet Dragons. No foam tyres, mini-spikes
or tyres with block tread.
- Tyre additive is allowed as long as the tyre is dry and doesn't leave
marks on the track
- For the club championship motors are 27 turns, or 13.5 brushless systems
for the stock championship. 10.5 and 19T motors to run in Prostock.
- Novices may use a 13.0T turn motor in the 13.5 class, but once they
have qualified for 3 'A' finals then they must enter the 10.5 class
or use a 13.5T motor.
- Minimum 5mm ground clearance.
- Any Touring or GTbodyshell is allowed as long as it is cut along the
manufacturers lines and does not have extra cooling holes.
- 1350g weight limit. This has
been changed from 1500g following the BRCA AGM on the 25th Oct.
1/12th Circuit or Pro10
- Any foam tyres are allowed
- Because of the nature of our carpet we suggest a ride height of 4mm
- Motor limit of 19T or 10.5 brushless.
- 800g minimum weight limit
- >Maximum of 4 Nimh cells or one 3.7v Lipo
Club Rules
- No setting up of pit tables until the track has been built.
- Booking in is via the Forum
or on the night. Please book in on the forum if possible.
- A class must get a minimum of 4 drivers. If
there are less than 4 drivers entered on the forum by Thursday night
then the class will not run.
- The venue will open by 6:30pm, please arrive promptly to help set
up.
- Racing starts at 7:30pm. If the track is built earlier then there
will be free practice.
Winter Championship 2009/10
The on-road winter championship will consist of 42 rounds, consisting
of 25 double-header meetings. Each driver's best 20 scores will count
towards their championship scores.
There will be 2 rounds of qualifying, single fastest race (FTD) to determine
qualifying order. If there are only enough drivers for three heats (about
24 drivers) then there will be 3 rounds of qualifying.
Top qualifier will score 100pts, second will score 99 and so on. The
A final winner will score 101, second 99, third 98 and so on down.
The grid for the finals will be set by qualifying order. The grid of
the second final will also be set by qualifying order.
Each meeting's two scores will be Q+F1 and Q+F2, where Q is their qualifying
score, F1 is their score in the first final, and F2 is their score in
the second final.
Non-members will not score points, and will not take points away from
members.
Every driver completing 21 scores in on-road will receive a trophy. |
