Club Rules

ALL drivers must become BRCA members

(not required for the first two visits to the club)

General Rules

  • We are now allowing LiPo cells. Please use a proper LiPo charger and charge the cells in a LiPo sack.
  • Cars must be complete (for example wheels missing, damaged body or shells) this is to stop people and the clubs kit from being damaged.
  • Cars which are are dragging on the carpet must be pulled off the track as soon as possible
  • Drivers must go straight out to marshal after they have finished their race.
  • Anyone not using a 2.4GHz radio system must have three different crystal sets.
  • Rules are based on the BRCA rules, except where the following club rules apply.

Touring Cars

  • Any slick rubber tyre or Carpet Dragons. No foam tyres, mini-spikes or tyres with block tread.
  • Tyre additive is allowed as long as the tyre is dry and doesn't leave marks on the track
  • Motors are down to 27 turns, or 13.5 brushless systems only.
  • Minimum 5mm ground clearance.
  • Any Touring or GTbodyshell is allowed as long as it is cut along the manufacturers lines and does not have extra cooling holes.
  • 1500g weight limit.

Off-Road Buggies

  • Classes for 1/10th 2WD, 1/10th 4WD and 1/18th.
  • Any electric motor is allowed
  • Tyres must be Schumacher
  • Drivers pushing track markers and thereby spinning their back wheels on the carpet will be excluded and asked to leave.
  • 1474g minimum weight limit

1/12th Circuit

  • Any foam tyres are allowed
  • Because of the nature of our carpet we suggest a ride height of 4mm
  • Motor limit of 19T or 10.5 brushless.
  • 800g minimum weight limit

Club Rules

  • No setting up of pit tables until the track has been built.
  • Maximum of 16 drivers per class (2WD, Touring and 1/12).
  • Club members must book in by Wednesday to guarantee a race. Non-members will get a race on a first-come-first served basis. If you want to race please book a slot as soon as possible. Booking in is via the Forum or on the night.
  • Maximum of 8 cars per race.
  • A class must get a minimum of 4 drivers to guarantee marshalls, if less then it will run with only a few marshalls.
  • The venue will open by 6:30pm, please arrive promptly to help set up.
  • Racing starts at 7:45pm. If the track is built earlier then there will be free practice.

Winter Championship 2008

 

The on-road winter championship will consist of 22 rounds, consisting of 11 double-header meetings. Each driver's best 12 scores will count towards their championship scores.

 

The off-road winter championship will consist of 12 single-headerrounds. Each driver's best 10 scores will count towards their championship scores.

 

There will be 2 rounds (3 for off-road) of qualifying, single fastest race (FTD) to determine qualifying order.

 

Top qualifier will score 100pts, second will score 99 and so on. The A final winner will score 101, second 99, third 98 and so on down.

 

The grid of the first final will be set by qualifying order. The grid of the second final will be determined by the finishing order of the 1st final.

 

Each meeting's two scores will be Q+F1 and Q+F2, where Q is their qualifying score, F1 is their score in the first final, and F2 is their score in the second final.

 

Non-members will not score points, and will not take points away from members.

 

Every driver completing 12 scores in on-road or 10 in off-road will receive a trophy.
